Obsession of the day: It’s Good to be in Love - the Lovely Bands. A lovely brand with a lovely story. New York based headband designer Stephanie Kay grabs inspiration from vintage vixens and Lovely Bands, the brand she started encapsulates every sort of independent young lady from flower child to princess. I have a bit of a penchant for spots and dots so I was attracted to their Vintage collection which puts a modern spin on turbans inspired by fashionistas of yester-year. With a sort of roaring twenties vibe these turban headbands are a lovely accessory and I quite frankly am obsessed. I am in love with cheetah print - isn’t the idea of lounging about in a cheetah print turban just kind of fun? Take a peek at their website and consider picking up one of these lovely designs, (Ale Ambrosio has the polka-dots!) also available at a few online retailers and shops across the US. Basically, the Lovely Bands has created the perfect hybrid of Turban and headband, causing me to become irrevocably obsessed - in summation, my thoughts on Lovely Bands - 100% Pure Love.
Obsession of the day: Never met a bow tie like you before. Today I am head over heels obsessed with this 1980s Vintage Bow Tie Collar. Why I love this - well, obviously, bow ties are cool, that’s a given - thanks Matt Smith! ps. yes I am a nerd for Doctor Who - and this little number from UK- based Susan Caplan Vintage just looks like a good time. It’s from the 80s so it’s likely really gigantic and heavy just like computers and things were back then. I’d wear this sans-major 80s earrings as a sole statement piece, it’s quite girly but also in a way giving off some powerful bitch vibes, which is always a good quality for neckwear. Basically, I’m finding myself quite taken with this this gilded collar and on board to party like it’s 1985. The heavily chained accessory is available for £135.00 online at Susan Caplan Vintage. While checking out the costume bling, check out their wondrous selection of silk scarves with a vintage-advantage.
