Spring Summer 2013 - Arm Yourselves

A Medieval theme popped up on the Spring Summer 2013 runways at Rodarte’s Dungeons and Dragons [and other role-playing games] inspired collection, Sass and Bide’s structured stuff of legend princess dresses and Bottega Veneta’s 40s inspired show with a bit of metallic armor influences. Metal, chains, dragons, crosses — chic-knight in shining armor or warrior princess looks. A bit more restrained than Galliano’s medieval spectaculars from past Dior Couture shows, but the dark ages were definitely present.
