Bright colours, a strong mix of feminine prints and leather, gold embroideries suggestive of Gianni Versace’s iconic style. Fausto Puglisi backs his love for geometrical-based opulence where monochromatic black and white graphic contrasts meet embellishment and bold color. Modern cuts - flared, straight, tapered, a few oversized shapes play into the trends of the season while desirable leather jackets hint at real-world longevity.  No wonder this up-and-coming designer counts fans in Anna Dello Russo and Madonna. Puglisi has been tapped as creative director of Emanuel Ungaro — which he will relaunch in Feb with his fashion flock in toe. If this collection is any intimation of what’s in store for Ungaro, things might get interesting come Fall Fashion week in Feb.
